Rich in immune-boosting antibodies and proteins. Colostrum helps promote a healthy gut and immune system.

Colostrum is the critical mother's first milk. But it's not just for babies. Colostrum is a good source of IgA antibodies, which can help strengthen and balance the gut and immune system. Four Leaf Rover Colostrum is also rich in proline-rich-polypeptide (PRP), which has been shown to help eliminate or improve the symptoms of allergies and other autoimmune conditions.

Four Leaf Rover Colostrum comes from 100% grass-fed cattle from New Zealand. Every batch is third-party tested to be free of antibiotics and growth hormones. Our colostrum is ethically harvested ... it comes from small family dairy farms and is shared with the calves so they can also reap the immune benefit.

Where does colostrum come from?

Four Leaf Rover Bovine Colostrum is a powdered form of bovine first milk. It comes from grass-fed, pasture-raised, antibiotic-free & rBGH growth hormone-free cows, raised in a small organic dairy co-operative.

How is colostrum collected?

Colostrum is collected after the first 12 hours of birth and within the 36 hour timeframe when colostrum levels are the highest. Calves alone receive it during the first 12 hours, then it’s shared for collecting. Calves are not separated from their mothers during this process because the quality and quantity of the milk increase when a cow is allowed to raise her calf.

How does colostrum work to help fight my dog’s allergies?

Research has identified an ingredient called proline-rich polypeptide (PRP) as one of the main components of Colostrum that can help with allergy symptoms.

Colostrum can also help regulate the thymus gland and immune cells (T and B cells) and supply immunoglobulins (IgG and IgA) that help promote a healthy gut lining and immune response.

Can my dog take Colostrum if he has a dairy or beef sensitivity?

The proteins in colostrum are different than those in beef. If your dog has a beef sensitivity, he may tolerate colostrum.

Unlike milk, colostrum only contains small amounts of lactose. But if your dog has a sensitivity to the proteins in dairy, check with your vet before giving colostrum.

How do I give my dog Colostrum?

Colostrum can be given to your dog at mealtime but it’s best given at least 20 minutes before meals for better absorption. You can mix it with a small amount of spring water, organic kefir or broth. Since it’s a part of “Mother’s Milk”, most dogs are happy to eat it and enjoy the flavor.

Can I use Colostrum topically?

Yes! Mix colostrum with some distilled water to make a paste and apply it to hot spots, irritated skin and bug bites.

Is there research on the benefits of Colostrum?

Yes, there is plenty of research on colostrum. Here's a sample:
